Technology transfer offices (TTOs) are dynamic, with activity ranging from processing disclosures to managing accelerator partnerships to optimizing deal terms. AVX was founded to enhance these efforts by connecting qualified entrepreneurs to the startups launching from TTOs. Our focus is to solve the 'talent valley of death' for deep tech ventures.
Top research institutions spotlight their emerging startups to the most seasoned entrepreneurs in their networks. AVX magnifies that spotlight by introducing university ventures to our nationwide network of entrepreneurs and investors with proven track records of research commercialization.
Our team understands the science behind deep tech ventures. We conduct due diligence to provide input on network referrals for potential CEOs, investors, co-founders and board officers with relevant domain expertise. The network is rigorously vetted to eliminate mismatches and to ensure we curate investment-ready teams.
It is an immense challenge to find enough “fundable” entrepreneurs in any one geographic region. AVX eliminates this bottleneck by introducing vetted entrepreneurs from across our university network and we utilize ecosystem connectors who can uncover regional talent.
